Believe it or not, we had found ourselves another couple who were planning their wedding day all the way from Australia, what are the chances?!
After deciding to travel five years ago, Jess and Dean fell in love with the laid-back lifestyle down under and decided to make their stay there a permanent one!
By the time Jess and Dean’s wedding day came around, they felt more like friends than clients and it was our pleasure to be part of their special day!
They opted for a traditional three-course meal starting with a parcel of slow cooked duck followed by our signature Coca-cola braised pork belly with popcorn crackling for the main event and a delicious compilation dessert of lemon brulee, Eton mess parfait and dark chocolate tart to finish.
Their day was a glorious one (far and few between as most of us know in good old England) full of sunshine, smiles, and love fit for this glowing couple!
It couldn’t have worked any better with their beautiful décor of festoon lighting and sparkles teamed with golden yellow roses in the stunning Calke Abbey.
They enjoyed a relaxed day taking it all in followed by a fabulous evening reception to celebrate both their homecoming and wedding day!

“To Zoe, Adam and the team,
“As a nutritionist and lover of food black peppermint did not disappoint!
The food was out of this world, and still has all of our guests talking about – it even now! The team did a fabulous job and everything ran like clockwork.
Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made our day perfect in every way!
My only regret is that I didn’t get any photos of the yummy food – as my friends know, I always photograph my food. Thank you thank you thank you – Mr & Mrs Clay xxx”
