Mr & Mr Cross-Collins – Kedleston Hall, Derbyshire

Friday 2nd June 2017

We love a good Mr and Mr wedding here at Black Peppermint HQ and back in June, David & Jules’ day was definitely up there with some of the best at the b-e-a-utiful Kedleston Hall.

The overall feel of their day is summed up with one word.. FUN! It was an absolute pleasure and honour to be part of such a beautiful day where everyone was quite evidently overjoyed to be there and sharing the wonderful experience of the fabulous grooms tying the knot!

Following a stunning ceremony in the saloon and some gorgeous pictures within Kedleston Hall itself, the wedding party moved to the front of the hall to the magnificent tipis that had been erected by none other than Peaktipis and following this, the day was a wonderful mix of informality, relaxation and fun!

The food David & Jules’ opted for certainly fit right in with their relaxed style wedfest-inspired day choosing to graze on canapes (alongside some fizz of course), before tucking into a three course meal featuring a cured salmon starter paired perfectly with lemon zest and watercress, a beautiful sharing main course with the star of the show being roasted lamp rump served with tzatziki, and ending on one our infamous desserts of dark chocolate tart with honeycomb, Eton mess and lemon zest cheesecake!

After the arrival of evening guests, a rather funny cake cutting where the knife clearly was not as durable as we all thought and tucking into an immense cheese table and mini fish ‘n’ chips, the tipis were jumping as David, Jules’ and their guests partied well into the night, not forgetting the all important sparkler departure!
